Životopis
Antonio Petošić rođen je 1979. godine u Požegi, Republika Hrvatska. Nakon osnovne škole pohađa Prirodoslovno-matematičku gimnaziju u Požegi i sudjeluje na natjecanjima iz matematike i fizike.
Nakon završene gimnazije upisuje se na Fakultet elektrotehnike i računarstva u Zagrebu koji završava nakon pet godina studiranja. Diplomirao je na Zavodu za radiokomunikacije kod prof. dr Juraja Bartolića sa temom: ''Mjerni dipoli za frekvencijsko područje 900 i 1800 MHz''.
Nakon petogodišnjeg studiranja dobiva brončanu plaketu Josip Lončar za izrazito uspješno studiranje. 2002. godine zapošljava se na Zavodu za elektroakustiku Fakulteta elektrotehnike i računarstva u Zagrebu kao znanstveni novak na projektu ''Primjena ultrazvuka velike snage u medicini'' gdje i sada radi.
Područje interesa usavršavano tijekom višegodišnjeg rada je primjena ultrazvuka u medicini i tehnici, elektromehanička i akustička karakterizaciji ultrazvučnih pretvarača u različitim načinima rada. Osim ultrazvukom bavi se općenito proučavanjem pojava linearne i nelinearne akustike, prostornom akustikom, mjerenjima buke i zvučne izolacije, razvojem mogućih teorijskih modela elektroakustičkih pretvarača u nelinearnon načinu rada i njihovom eksperimentalnom provjerom.
Tijekom sudjelovanja na brojnim znanstvenim konferencijama osvaja nekoliko nagrada za radove u područjima nelinearne akustike i svladavanja numeričkih metoda prilikom modeliranja propagacije akustičkih valova. Nagrade na me]unarodnim konferencijama su:
1. ''European Acoustics Association Student Grant'' za izvrsni doprinos u području numeričke akustike na konferenciji Forum Acusticum u Budimpešti 2005 godine.
2. ''International Conference of Acoustics Young Scientists Grant'' za izvrsno dostignuće u području nelinearne akustike na konferenciji ICA 2007 godine u Madridu.
3. ''European Acoustics Association Student Grant'' za izvrsni doprinos u primjeni analize signala u teoriji kaosa u tumačenju nelinearnih efekata u mediju tijekom kavitacije na konferenciji European Acoustics Association united with Acoustical Society of America 2008 godine u Parizu.
Za doktorsku disertaciju ''Vrednovanje točkastog izvora ultrazvuka u linearnom i nelinearnom načinu rada'' obranjenu 25.09.2008. dobiva srebrnu plaketu Josip Lončar.
2009. godine je dobitnik stipendije engleskog kraljevskog znanstvenog društva ''Royal Society International Grant'' za boravak na ''Queen Mary University'' u Londonu gdje usavršava analizu signala dobivenih iz nelinearnih akustičkih sustava te metode kontrole determinističkog kaosa.
2010. godine dobiva nagradu ''Vera Johanides'' za rad objavljen u časopisu ''Ultrasonics'' o mjerenju akustičke snage ultrazvučnog kirurškog noža.
2011. godine dobiva nagradu Društva sveučilišnih i ostalih nastavnika za rad objavljen u časopisu ''Ultrasonics Sonochemisty'' o usporedbama metoda za mjerenje akustičke snage ultrazvučnih niskofrekvencijskih uređaja.
Autor je i koautor šest radova objavljenih u akustičkim Current Contents časopisima i više desetaka radova objavljenih na međunarodnim konferencijama. Recenzent je u časopisma Automatika, Ultrasonics i Ultrasonics Sonochemistry.
Aktivno govori engleski i njemački jezik.
