Porsche eBike Performance was founded to drive the transformation of mobility with smart, innovative electrical solutions. We house a unique pool of expertise with e-bike drive system specialist FAZUA, Croatian software and connectivity innovator Greyp and, of course, all the knowledge, research and experience from the Porsche family.
Who are we looking for?
For our Applicative Software Team we are looking for Android Engineer Intern who is eager to learn and wants to improve his/hers skills and knowledge for Android technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Familiarity with Android SDK, even if it's from your coursework or personal projects
- Some exposure to Kotlin, the language commonly used for Android apps
- Basic understanding of common architecture patterns like MVVM or MVI
- Interest in writing clean and organized code, with some understanding of best practices
- A willingness to learn about reactive programming concepts
- Exposure to some Android libraries like Jetpack, especially if you've played around with Jetpack Compose
- Understanding of Dependency Injection (DI) basics
- Basic familiarity with using Git for version control
- A general awareness of CI/CD workflows (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment)
- Some experience or willingness to learn about writing and running unit tests, and the concept of Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Good communication skills, as you'll be working with various team members
- An open mindset, ready to adapt and learn in a diverse and collaborative environment
- Awareness of Agile methodologies like SCRUM
- Comfortable communicating in English
Bonus points:
- If you've tinkered with technologies like Bluetooth, WiFi, or gRPC
- If you've worked on projects with larger teams
- If you've got a portfolio showcasing your projects, that's a big plus, but not mandatory.
