Position: Full Stack Engineer (Ruby on Rails)

Location: Remote / Zagreb

Employment Type: Full-time (open to part-time)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be super-fast at coding and a great product thinker.
  • Develop and maintain high-performance web applications using Ruby on Rails.
  • Implement user interfaces with Tailwind CSS, ensuring responsive and modern designs.
  • Utilize Docker for containerization, promoting consistency across all development stages.
  • Manage our reverse proxy fleet deployed in Docker containers at AWS Elastic Container Service
  • Manage and deploy our Ruby on Rails application on AWS and Heroku, focusing on scalability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with the product team to design, implement, and enhance new features, improving platform usability and functionality.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, actively participating in all development lifecycle phases.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems transparently and safely.
  • Continuously learn and stay abreast of new technologies and best practices in full-stack development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of proven full-stack development experience, with expertise in Ruby on Rails, Tailwind CSS, Docker, AWS, and Heroku.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies, including Rails Turbo, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Understanding of MVC, Mocking, ORM, and RESTful APIs.
  • Strong grasp of object-oriented programming and software architecture.
  • Experience with cloud services and infrastructure, preferably AWS and Heroku.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work very fast.
  • Strong English communication skills and a commitment to collaborative teamwork.
