The Ambassador of North Macedonia to the Republic of Croatia, H. E. Milaim Fetai visited FER on March 30, 2023, where he was welcomed by the Dean Prof. Vedran Bilas, PhD, Vice Dean for Research and Innovation, Prof. Stjepan Bogdan, PhD, Vice Dean for Education, Prof. Bojan Trkulja, PhD, and prof. Mislav Grgić, PhD.
Ambassador Fetai was accompanied by Deputy Ambassador Maja Apostolova Balaburski.
FER is open for cooperation with related institutions from North Macedonia in bilateral and multilateral research programs, cooperation in exchange programs for students, young scientists and university teachers, and in scientific and professional training programs. At the meeting, a mutual desire was expressed to transfer knowledge and expand cooperation between FER and the academic community of North Macedonia, especially through the transfer of experience that FER has in attracting projects financed from EU funds. FER will wholeheartedly support project applications in which institutions from North Macedonia can also apply as partner institutions.
During the meeting, the possibilities of short-term bilateral visits, participation in workshops and research work, as well as the possibility of enrolling students from North Macedonia in FER study programs in English, were indicated.
As part of the visit, Ambassador Fetai visited the Laboratory for Underwater Systems and Technologies - LABUST, the High Voltage Laboratory and the Laboratory for Renewable Energy Source Systems - LARES. Photos are available in the FER Gallery here.
