As a fellow partner in the SIMILAR NoE, FER is contributing expertise in the field of facial image synthesis and character animation, particularly in text-to-multimodal synthesis. FER has also succesfuly organised the eNTERFACE'06 summer workshop, one of the most important events organised by SIMILAR (http://www.enterface.net/enterface06). The yearly eNTERFACE workshops aim at establishing a tradition of collaborative, localized research and development work by gathering, in a single place, a team of leading professionals in multimodal interfaces together with students (both graduate and undergraduate), to work on a prespecified list of challenges, for 4 complete weeks.
