Course Description
High voltage (HV) laboratory; requirements and safety. Withstand voltages. Generation and measurement of high voltages and currents. Testing with power frequency, DC and lightning impulse voltages and impulse currents. Testing of metal-oxide surge arresters. Measurement of low-frequency electric and magnetic fields. Measurement of grounding resistance of various power facilities. Testing of the impact of high voltages and currents on the secondary equipment. Testing of secondary equipment with impulse currents.
