Course Description

Structure of the remote control system - control levels, local and remote control, control centers. Data collection and distribution systems. Data encryption and protection. Communication protocols. "On-line" computer monitoring. Data Interface User Interfaces - Local Views, Monitors, and Video Walls. SCADA systems. Tone frequency control. Remote meter reading. Telemetry. Energy management. Communication media in energy systems. Local data networks. Serial data transmission. Optical cables. Transmission of data to power lines. Wireless transmission and mobile telephony. OPC servers. WEB servers.
