Course Description

The course discusses the concepts and knowledge of formal project management procedures and software aids to support these procedures in practice. A generic process model according to the PMBOK and the possibilities of its application and adaptation with regard to the size and type of project are presented. Project life cycle variants from traditional through incremental and iterative to extreme project management are considered. Formal methodologies, life cycles and frameworks, as well as organizational and cultural aspects of project management are also covered. Special emphasis is placed on modern project management procedures and techniques. In addition, the course explores systems and tools that project managers and teams can use to effectively manage work activities and manage communication with other stakeholders.
