Active antennas

Course Description

Active antenna as part of wireless system. Electronic frequency tuning and bandwidth adjustment, polarization and radiation pattern switching. Integration of electronic circuits in the radiating element. Electronically steered phased arrays, communication and radar applications. Adaptive arrays for interference and jamming suppression. Arrays with several simultaneous radiation patterns. Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems. Small antennas. Antenna as part of wireless sensor systems and networks. Radio-frequency identification (RFID).
