Optimizing the Site Selection of EV Charging Stations

Description

This project focuses on the development of a specialized web application tailored for Business Developers (BD) to evaluate and make strategic decisions about the optimal placement of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations. The application facilitates the assessment process by incorporating input from BDs and various parameters, enabling them to analyze and compare different charging station locations. The ultimate goal is to empower BDs in contributing to the realization of Atlante's vision to establish the largest and fastest network of EV charging stations across southern Europe. The web application aims to streamline decision-making by providing valuable business insights related to physical locations, thereby facilitating the efficient expansion of the EV charging infrastructure.

This tool aims to empower business developers, facilitating strategic decisions for optimal infrastructure placement and expansion, some of the main features are:

  • Geographical coordinates entry for precise location assessment with geosearch option.
  • Authorization controls to ensure that only designated users can manage input data.
  • Visualization of charging stations' placement and sizing for easy understanding.
  • Display of estimated Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each configuration.
  • Capability for users to evaluate alternative configurations.
  • Easy input of new configuration, new scenario and new KPIs.
  • Algorithms to determine the optimal configuration based on various factors.
