On the occasion of the UN World Water Day 2022, Professor Davor Škrlec held a lecture at an event organized by the Croatian-Indian Friendship Society on March 18th . The lecture was about the achievements of water management in the EU and the challenges of adaptation to climate change. By adopting the second Circular Economy Action Plan and Water Reuse regulation, which will be put into force in June 2023, the EU will take a step forward in terms of preserving water as a scarce resource and facilitating water reuse as an important part of sustainability. Another two regulations were addressed: the Drinking Water Directive which will improve the quality of tap water and transparency of the water supply business as well as the Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive which will implement new standards regarding microplastics in urban waste waters.
