Our PhD class titled Optimization in Power Networks had very high and diverse attendance this year. PhD students enrolled into the class from both our department and other departments at FER, from the industry, as well as from Bosnia and Herzegovina. After four days of intense instruction given by professor Hrvoje Pandžić, the final lecture on meta-heuristic optimization was given by our dear friend Dr. Minea Skok, chief scientist at the Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar. The students were thrilled with the lecture and we thank Dr. Minea Skok very much for her time.
