Last December, with the increasing Christmas spirit and classical December joy and excitement, we at ZVNE had an extra reason for celebration – another two successful PhD defences at our department! 🎉
On December 21st 2023, Nina Stipetić defended her PhD thesis titled „Earth fault localization in isolated medium-voltage networks based on low-frequency signal injection“, which was conducted under the supervision of associate professor Božidar Filipović-Grčić.
The following day, on December 22nd, Matej Krpan defended his PhD thesis titled „Fast frequency control in low-inertia power systems“, supervised by professor Igor Kuzle.
Special thanks to the defences committee members, our department's professors Tomislav Capuder, Mateo Beus and Ninoslav Holjevac, and external examiners Bruno Jurisicšić from KONČAR - Electrical Engineering Institute, professor Jovica V. Milanovic from The University of Manchester and professor Dirk Van Hertem from KU Leuven.
