Two PhD theses defended

The final week before the vacation season at FER was also a week of great scientific accomplishments as we had two PhD theses defended, both of which resulted in Summa Cum Laude! First, on Monday, July 19, Kristina Pandžić defended her thesis ''Multilevel Optimization Models for Energy Storage Planning and Operation'', while Ivan Pavić on the following day defended his thesis ''Optimal Energy and Reserves Scheduling through Controllable Charging and Discharging of a Fleet of Electric Vehicles''. Both doctorates were defended in the so-called Scandinavian style, as both candidates published a large number of papers in very prestigious scientific journals during their studies. Congratulations, Kristina and Ivan, your work is extraordinary!
