Short description of project
Research activities on this project will be oriented to network planning and network resource optimization, applied to multiservice packet telecommunication networks. Part of the research activities will be focused to voice service architectures in such networks. These activities are aligned with numerous scientific and research programs and projects within European Union (e.g. FP6, COST). Key cognitions that present a basis for the realization of this project are methods for determining optimal network topologies and for network equipment dimensioning, both developed within the project 0036009.
