The IAEA has organized workshop on Development and Use of Risk Monitors to Support Safe Operation of NPPs where about 30 experts from 15 countries.
Zdenko Simic has presented invited presentation, under the title “Status of the Risk Monitors for the Krsko NPP”. The presentation was about general and specific relevant experience. Presented work, with discussion will be published as IAEA technical document.
The purpose of the workshop was to familiarize the participants with various aspects of risk monitors to support safe NPP operation by reviewing latest applications, developments and limitations through the exchange of different experiences. In particular the following aspects of the Risk Monitors were in focus of the workshop: Use of Risk Monitors in the Region; Risk Monitor software; Development and update of a Risk Monitor PSA model; Use of Risk Monitors; Costs and benefits of Risk Monitors; Observed problems and limitations related to the use of risk Monitors; Regulatory perspectives on Risk Monitors; Issues Important to Successful Risk Monitor Project Implementation.
