Description:

Basic principles an definitions. Sound generation and propagation. Noise and vibration measurements and instrumentation. Rating measures, descriptors, criteria, and procedures for determining human response to noise and vibration. Generation of noise and vibration in machinery, its control, and the identification of noise sources. Control of noise and vibration in building acoustic. Community response to environmental noise. Traffic noise: prediction and control. Active adaptive control.
