Course Description

Risk, safety and reliability. Analytical and simulation methods of calculations; review of mathematical background necessary for electric power subsystems reliability evaluation (including Markov models and Monte Carlo methods) and for solving engineering problems under conditions of uncertainty. Reliability and availability evaluation of irreparable and repairable systems. Availability evaluations of electric power generation, transmission and distribution facilities. Availability indices.
