Discrete Event Control Systems
Data is displayed for academic year: 2023./2024.
Course Description
Definitions and differences between time driven and event driven systems. Mathematical tools for discrete event systems (DES) modeling: graphs, max-plus algebra, Petri nets, system matrices. DES analysis and modeling: examples from transport, warehouse and manufacturing systems. Stability analysis; bounded buffers, deadlock and livelock. Resource utilization and work-in-process analysis. DES control algorithms design and implementation for conflict resolution, deadlock allocation and prevention.
