12th Bulk Power System Dynamics and...

From June 22 to 27, our assistant Petra Miljan had the pleasure of participating at the 12th Bulk Power System Dynamics and Control Symposium, IREP 2025, in the beautiful city of Sorrento, Italy organized by the University of Sannio and the University of Naples Federico II.

Petra presented paper "A Risk-aware Investment in Hybrid Renewable-Battery-Electrolyzer Facility under the Single Imbalance Pricing Scheme," where she highlighted the importance of batteries and green hydrogen in the transition of the energy sector towards carbon neutrality. Growing integration of variable renewable energy sources stresses the importance of balancing responsibility for each market participant so additional flexibility can be achieved either by utilizing energy storage or through a cross-commodity transformation of electricity into hydrogen. The proposed model considers investment in such hybrid facility taking part in the day-ahead market under the single-imbalance pricing method, which is the target scheme in Europe. The paper, coauthored by professor Hrvoje Pandzic, will be published in the Special Issue of the Journal Sustainable Energy, Grids and Networks (SEGAN).

Stay tuned for our further endeavors and results in the hydrogen industry.
