We are proud to share that Petra Drašković and Luka Budin, PhD students at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing Department of Energy and Power Systems, recently presented their cutting-edge research at PhD Day 2025!
⚡Petra Drašković is focused on the Operational and investment models of a flexible electricity-green hydrogen production facility participating in energy markets. Her work explores how hydrogen can play a key role in decarbonizing energy systems and enabling sector coupling through sustainable, renewable-based production.
⚡Luka Budin presented his research on Renewable energy community sizing and management based on optimization under uncertainty—developing frameworks to optimize participants sizing, operation, and integration into the power system. His work is vital for enabling citizens and local stakeholders to take an active role in the energy transition.
