CIGRE Session 2022

The international conference „CIGRE Session 2022“ was held in Pariz from the 28th of August to the 2nd of September, the largest symposium organized every two years by CIGRE. Because of the pandemic, the conference was not held in 2020, so a record number of power system experts from all around the world participated this year. Employees of the Department of power systems and energy, assistants Ivana Damjanović, Nina Stipetić, and Goran Grdenić participated in the conference.

Among numerous lectures, workshops, and group discussion meetings, Ivana and Nina also participated in the forums of „NGN – Next Generation Network“ and „Women in Energy.“ A technical visit to the 220 kV transformer station with an embedded SVC device was also organized during the conference. Within the NGN technical session, the project DESME – „Development of an expert system for measuring lightning strike parameters and protection of wind turbine blades to reduce failures and downtime“ was presented, currently ongoing with FER and company Porzana d.o.o. cooperation. The paper "Statistical Analysis and Grouping of Measured Power Transformer Overvoltages" (authors: Bruno Jurisic, Tomislav Zupan,  Božidar Filipović-Grčić and Goran Levačić) was presented within Study Committee A2  Session– Power Transformers and reactors.

ZVNE members participated in CIGRE Working Group (WG) meetings:
