“Super-Resolved Imaging: Geometrical and Diffraction Approaches”
koja će održati Prof. Zeev Zalevsky sa Sveučilišta Bar-Ilan, Ramat Gan, Izrael.
Predavanja će se održati od 8. do 10. ožujka 2017. na Fakultetu elektrotehnike i računarstva, Unska 3, Zagreb i kroz njih će Prof. Zalevsky prezentirati temeljne koncepte i praktičnu implementaciju ove nove tehnologije.

Super-resolution (SR) imaging is a class of techniques that enhance the resolution of an imaging system. In optical SR, the diffraction limit of systems is transcended, while in the geometrical SR, the resolution of digital imaging sensors is enhanced. Super-resolution imaging techniques are used in general image processing and in super-resolution microscopy.
FER is pleased to have Prof. Zalevsky from Bar-Illan University present the fundamental theory and practical implementation of this new technology in three extended lectures:
Lecture 1: The essence of super resolution

This lecture will cover the fundamental concepts of optical super resolution including the limits and associated mathematical tools. The "SW adaptation" concept as the approach to deal with resolution limitations and the way to overcome them will also be presented.
Lecture 2: Time multiplexing super resolving concepts

This lecture focuses on time multiplexing approaches and practical examples in which those concepts are applicable and practical. The mathematical background will be presented along with some experimental results and examples.
Lecture 3: Wavelength multiplexing super resolving concepts

This lecture focuses on wavelength multiplexing super-resolving concepts and their adaptation to various practical problems such as those involving microscopy and nanoscopy. The mathematical background and some experimental results and examples will also be presented.
The lectures start on the time listed, there is no academic quarter. Refreshments will be provided.
Prof. Zeev Zalevsky is the Vice Dean and the head of the Electro-Optics study program at the Faculty of Engineering. He is also the director of the Nano Photonics Center at the Institute of Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials (BINA) at Bar-Ilan University in Ramat Gan, Israel.
Prof. Zalevsky specializes in optical technologies applied to the medical field. He is the recipient of numerous international awards for his pioneering research and innovative solutions. He founded several successful start-up companies, advised over fifty graduate students, published over 450 peer-reviewed journal papers, written or edited nine books and 28 book chapters.
