VISTA - COMPUTER VISION INNOVATIONS FOR SAFE TRAFFIC

VISTA is a project whose overall objectives are strengthening of technology transfer and commercialization capacities of partner HEIs, transfer of existing computer vision applications from HEIs to SMEs, and developing new traffic- and transportation-related computer vision applications with commercial potential in collaboration with SMEs in the automotive industry sector.

The project is funded from the Regional Competitiveness Operational Programme 2007 - 2011 for Community Assistance under the IPA Regional Development Component in Croatia.

Successful presentation of VISTA...

The project "VISTA - Computer Vision Innovations for Safe Traffic" created under the guidance of proffesor Sven Lončarić, PhD was successfully presented at the 66th International Exhibition of Inventions and ideas held from 30th October to 2nd November at Nuremberg in Germany.

VISTA's young researchers presented their work to a big number of visitors, and in competition with more than 60 universities from 22 countries VISTA has won two awards:

  • the Silver medal from the iENA 2014 Jury
  • the Golden Plaque from the Russian home for international, scientific and research cooperation of the Russian Federation.
