At the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb the fourth workshop of EU project “VISTA - Computer Vision Innovations for Safe Traffic" was held on 20th March 2015. The coordinator of the project is the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in partnership with the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering. Junior researchers presented the work done so far in different research areas of the project.

VISTA project was presented in the TV show "Putem europskih fondova" (eng. "On the way of European funds"), which was broadcasted on 6th December 2014. on HRT. The coverage is available here.

Journalists from "Poslovni dnevnik" (eng. "Business diary") in the "Startup & Your Stories" column published an article about the VISTA project. They talked with the project leader proffesor Sven Lončarić, PhD about the main goals of the project and about the concrete systems that are beeing developed by young researchers from the VISTA research team. The project "VISTA - Computer Vision Innovations for Safe Traffic" created under the guidance of proffesor Sven Lončarić, PhD was successfully presented at the 66th International Exhibition of Inventions and ideas held from 30th October to 2nd November at Nuremberg in Germany.

VISTA's young researchers presented their work to a big number of visitors, and in competition with more than 60 universities from 22 countries VISTA has won two awards:

• the Silver medal from the iENA 2014 Jury
• the Golden Plaque from the Russian home for international, scientific and research cooperation of the Russian Federation.

VISTA project was successfully presented at the 12th International Exhibition of Inventions ARCA held from 15th to 18th October 2014, in Zagreb. Among the 250 exhibited innovation VISTA has won two awards:

• Golden plaque from the ARCA 2014 Jury for multiple innovations in the project VISTA
• "Best Invention" award by the Iranian "First Institute of Inovators and Researchers" which was presented by Iran as this year's partner of the exhibition.
