Životopis
Tihana Galinac Grbac rođena je u Puli 1977. godine. Diplomirala je (2000.), magistrirala (2004.) i doktorirala (2009.) u polju elektrotehnike na Sveučilištu u Zagrebu Fakultetu elektrotehnike i računarstva (FER).
Od studenog 2007. godine radi na Zavodu za računarstvo Tehničkog fakulteta Sveučilišta u Rijeci a u travnju 2018.godine izbrana je u zvanje redovitog profesora na Tehničkom fakultetu Sveučilišta Jurja Dobrile u Puli. Prije toga, 8 godina radila je u razvojno-istraživačkom centru Ericsson Nikole Tesle u Zagrebu kao softverski inženjer, tehnički i projektni voditelj globalnih razvojnih projekta telekomonukacijskih mreža i projekta poboljšanja procesa razvoja i upravljanja. Sudjelovala je u dva znanstvena projekta Ministarstva znanosti, obrazovanja i sporta Republike Hrvatske i dva EU COST projekta. Bila je voditelj bilateralnog istraživačkog projekta „An empirical comparison of machine learning based approaches for code smell detection” te istraživačkog projekta "Evolving Software Systems: Analysis and Innovative Approaches for Smart Management (EVOSOFT)" koji financira Hrvatska zaklada za znanost. Trenutno je voditelj istraživačkog projekta „Reliable and Safe Complex Software Systems: From Empirical Principles to Theoretical Models in View of Industrial Applications” koji financira Hrvatska zaklada za znanost. Objavila je više od 80 radova u časopisima i zbornicima konferencija u područjima računarstva i elektrotehnike, koji se bave problematikom upravljanja resursa i programskog inženjerstva te razvoja inovativnih modela obrade informacija primjenom umjetne inteligencije.
Prof. Galinac Grbac članica je stručnih udruga IEEE, ACM i Hrvatske udruge MIPRO. Članica je izvršnog odbora hrvatske sekcije ACM-a, a bila je i dopredsjednica Odjela za menadžment u tehnologiji i inženjerstvu hrvatske sekcije IEEE. Sudjeluje u više od 10 programskih odbora međunarodnih znanstvenih konferencija, članica je dva urednička odbora znanstvenih časopisa, urednik je 10 zbornika radova znanstvenih skupova te djeluje kao recenzent u brojnim inozemnim časopisima. Godine 2017. primila je godišnju nagradu hrvatske sekcije IEEE za izniman doprinos inženjerskom obrazovanju u prijenosu znanja iz industrije u inženjersko obrazovanje u području računarstva te nagradu za doprinos ostvarenju misije MIPRO. Na ICT Gold Awards 2016. izabrana je među Top 50 najutjecajnijih žena u hrvatskom ICT-u.
