The popularization of science program “ŠUZA – from school to science and the academic community” is the new official popularization of science program of the University of Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER). The Program is intended for primary and secondary education students and their teachers. Through visits to schools, educational workshops for teachers and events at the Faculty their interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields is encouraged.

FER’s partners in this Program are the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc.) and the student association eSTUDENT. The program is developed in cooperation and with the support of the Education and Teacher Training Agency (AZOO) and the Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education (ASOO).

On Monday, May the 5th 2014, the State Student Works Fair in Educational Sector Electrical Engineering and Computing was held for the second time at FER. There were 32 students and students groups from 24 technical and vocational schools participating at the Fair and presenting their works in the Faculty area.

This year’s Fair at FER was organized by cooperation of Agency of vocational education and adult education (ASOO) and FER through FERs program of science popularization „ŠUZA- from school to science and academic community“. The ŠUZA is a FER's program developed by group eSTUDENT and Croatian Section IEEE.

More details about the Fair are below.

The State Student Works Fair in Educational Sector Electrical Engineering and Computing for school year 2013./2014. started with ceremonial opening at 10am in FER’s Gray Hall. The participants were welcomed by Ivan Šutalo, dipl. ing., principle of Agency of vocational education and adult education (ASOO), prof. dr. sc. Davor Petrinović, FER’s education dean and dr. sc.
