Hi everyone,

since we came upon some organizational problems regarding the scheduling of our team meetings we opened a common Google account for everyone in the team to use. The account has a very helpfull calendar web application which we can all use.

So far we think that the calendar should contain two basic things:
everyone's occupied time and scheduled teem meetings.

For this to work, everyone MUST enter their personal time periods when they are unavailable. Of course, everyone MUST do this in advance for the next day,week and future time in general. So just make a note of all the times that you know you wont be available for a meeting.

Our project manager Alexander will use this to schedule teem meetings. Since he will schedule the meetings according to the available time he finds in the calendar, it is that much more important for everyone to enter their unavailability periods in advance. It is also important to check this calendar on a daily basis to see the changes.

This is very similar to the plan Igor already made, but enables a more dynamic scheduling of time since not everyone has the same schedule every week. It also enables a centralized scheduling system which should help things run smoothly.

When you log in, you will see a Calendar option in the upper left corner of the screen. When you click on it, wou will see the Calendar. So far it containts two types of events. Red events are everyone's personal occupied periods which everyone enters for them selves. Green events represent meetings, entered by Alexander. There is also a third type of event, meetings with customers. So look around and play with it ! :)

There are no worries about problems with more team members working concurently because Google took care of that. Its just important to reload the calendar often enough: before you make changes, after you make changes, etc.


Since we dont wont the GeoLog team to mess our calendar up and sabotage our project, login details have been sent to your emails :))
