... Omondo. After a consultation with prof. Crnković, we have decided that the UML tool to be used on our project is Omondo plug-in for Eclipse IDE.  Although we will have some problems with it, it is the best tool we could find (and legally use).

The download link for the tool is here.

Any problems/questions on the tool can bi disscused on the projects forum here.

There are threads in the forum for discussing the agenda for tomorrows Skype-meeting and a plan for activities next week. Time for the meeting has been set to 16:00. Everyone should read and give comments/suggestions in the Plan-thread so that everyones expertise is utilized as much as possible.

Individual week reports must be sent to the local team leader every Sunday evening at the latest. The local leaders will then combine the reports into a Summary Week Report that is finalized by the PM and published on this web site. The SWR and the individual reports are sent by the PM to Rikard Land and Aneta Vulgarakis on Monday of each week.

I noticed some inconsistencies in the week reports sent to me. For the following reports please have these items in mind:

  • Format of date.
    • Write the date on the form YYYY-MM-DD.
  • Bolded vs. non-bolded text in text-boxes.
    • Follow the template, even if it looks weird. At least for now.
  • Text-alignment in tables.
    • Again use the layout from the template for now.
  • What to count as working hours.
    • Everything course related should be entered into the report. This includes hours for meetings and lectures/presentations.
  • Hours spent for each activity
    • Enter separate hours for each activity and list their names in the same order as their durations. The SWR focuses on hours spent on activities and not hours spent by project members.

Our colleagues from GeoLog team have opened a forum for us. The URL is

http://dsd.bybude.com/

You need to register there and join the Uml user group. Then you will see the Uml - Work, work. It's all ours to use! :)

Thanks again to Nikica and the GeoLog team!

Hi everyone,

since we came upon some organizational problems regarding the scheduling of our team meetings we opened a common Google account for everyone in the team to use. The account has a very helpfull calendar web application which we can all use.

Hi, everybody!

There was a project group meeting today. Here is some documentation on the meeting:

Time:
Monday 5/11-07
13:00 - 15:15

Attended:
Alexander Penner
M. Rafique Danish
Luka Lednicki
Ivan Ferdelja

Discussed:
Much discusson on alternative tools for generating UML Component diagrams.
StarUML was discarded because of non-compliance with UML2. Eclipse plugin
Topcased UML had missing implementation regarding interfaces and ports. NetBeans
5.5 was accepted for further study, but found to comply with previous mentioned
deficiencies.

Discusson on the use of DTDs for specifying the different diagrams. DTD for
SaveCCM was located. Specification of UML-SaveCCM is yet undicided. DTD may be
constructed or a UML profile with custom stereotypes may be required depending
on customer demands.

Next meeting will be held on Tuesday 6/11-07 at 20:00, agreed upon by meeting
participants. The next meeting will discuss the details of the project plan to
be presented this Thursday 8/11-07. This will include project description and
roles for the project members.

A meeting with customer Ivica Crnkovic will be held on Wednesday 7/11-07.
Questions to be forwarded at the meeting should be sent to me no later than one
hour after the next project group meeting.

These minutes were written by Alexander Penner, but he can't log in yet, so I am posting this.
