RC Prototype

The CourseScheduler release candidate prototype has been released!

This iteration was quite hard because people in Sweden were away for about a week and Croatian side had exams, but we are proud to say that we have accomplished to make release candidate prototype which satisfies initial idea agreed with our customer.

List of parts done and work invested:

  • Reorganized navigation
  • Screens for managing course instances
  • Template schedule reservations
  • Constraints definition and checking
  • Screens for managing schedule proposals (for lecturer and administrator)
  • New schedule views (multicourse view, list view)
  • Screen for managing non working days in academic year
  • Improvements in existing system parts (such as autosuggest option)
  • Validations included into screens
  • Functional testing started (using selenium for automated testing)
  • Initial version of automatic scheduling part created (not yet included into UI)
  • Initial version of Acceptance Test Plan created

Things available for public testing include various schedule views - feel free to try them. We will track bugs and from time to time refresh online version of our system.

Presentation and demo are available in project repository, under Presentations section.
