Workshop "Modern challenges in continuum mechanics"

University of Zagreb, April 3 - 6, 2017

The aim of the workshop is to bring together researchers working in related fields of continuum mechanics: fluid mechanics, elasticity, FSI problems, multi-component mixtures, scaling laws, etc. Program of the workshop will include mini-courses, invited talks and short oral poster presentations intended for young researchers.

The workshop is organized in course of the project "Mathematical Analysis of Multi-Physics Problems Involving Thin and Composite Structures and Fluids" (www.fer.unizg.hr/mampit), under auspices of the Croatian Science Foundation (HRZZ) and the Foundation of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts (Zaklada HAZU).

Poster session:

Participants who want to present their work through a poster are kindly asked to send the title and abstract by March 6, 2017. The posters should be printed on A0 form of paper, and brought by the authors.

Additionally, we plan to organize a poster session with short (5-10 min.) oral presentations of posters. If there will be more applications than the schedule permits, the scientific committee will decide which posters will have the oral presentation.

Registration:

There is no registration fee, but we kindly ask you to register by sending an e-mail with basic information (name, affiliation, address) to the organizers (mario.bukal@fer.hr) by March 6, 2017.

Workshop venue:

University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing

Unska 3, 10000 Zagreb, Croatia

Organizers:

  • Igor Velčić
  • Boris Muha
  • Mario Bukal
