A part of Kisek activities is strengthening the educational connection between Croatian and EU university partners. University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER), Croatia and Mälardalen University (MDH), Västerås, Sweden are giving a joint course called Distributed Software Development (DSD), where FER and MDH students are working together in international teams on joint distributed software engineering projects.

Our students are the members of winning teams of the SCORE competition, organized by the world's largest software engineering conference (ICSE – International Conference in Software Engineering).

Out of 50 project teams from prestigeous universities, like Carnegie Mellon, München, Imperial College London and others, six winner teams were selected, three of them from FER and MDH. Student teams were competing while working on projects as a practical part of this course, overcoming various challenges in distributed software development and working on real-life projects.

Students - team representatives will participate in project presentations at the ICSE conference itself, which will take place in May in Vancouver, Canada. We are proud that our students actively participate in promoting the cooperation between our universities, and show the quality of such distributed work and project-based course.
