The international conference...

The three-day international conference Combinatorial Constructions Workshop was held at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing from June 27 to 29, 2022. The conference brought together researchers working in the fields of discrete mathematics, combinatorics, design theory, finite geometry, graph theory, coding theory, cryptography and algebraic combinatorics. FER and the Department of Applied Mathematics hosted 50 domestic and foreign participants. The conference was opened with welcoming speeches by the president of the organizing committee, Assoc. Prof. Anamari Nakić and deputy head of ZPM, Assoc. Prof. Josipa-Pina Milišić.

  • Gábor Péter Nagy, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Hungary — Local modifications of 2-designs: theory and implementation

  • Anita Pasotti, University of Brescia, Italy — Heffter arrays: origins, variants and applications

  • Valentina Pepe, Sapienza University of Rome, Italy — Some geometric aspects of extremal graphs

  • Andrea Švob, University of Rijeka, Croatia — Divisible design Cayley graphs and digraphs

  • Alfred Wassermann, University of Bayreuth, Germany — Construction of q-analogs of combinatorial objects with prescribed symmetries

Additionally, conference participants held 35 presentations of their latest achievements in discrete mathematics. You can find out more about the conference on the website.

The conference was organized as part of project IP-2020-02-9752 of the Croatian Science Foundation, and in cooperation with the Faculty of Science and Mathematics - Department of Mathematics.
