Start of classes at FER

On Monday, 4 October 2021 was the first day of classes in the new academic year, which will be held in person at FER. This means that the classrooms and corridors of the Faculty have come back to life and are filling up with the hustle and bustle of our students!

At the end of last week's induction ceremony, we welcomed a new generation of first-year students, our promising young people, the vast majority of whom achieved the best results in their state exams in Mathematics and Physics. Of the 653 freshmen enrolled, 403 were among the top 1000 in Mathematics (higher level) and 483 among the best in Physics in the state exam.

We organised an event called New Student Orientation for foreign students studying at FER on a short-term mobility stay or as part of study programmes in the English language. For about 80 students, who came to FER from 12 countries and a total of 16 cities around the world, we gave a lecture in which we provided them with the most important information about studying at our Faculty.

To help them find their way in the new environment, we paired our dear guests with some nice FER students, the so-called buddies, who we are sure will let them in on all the secrets of student life in Zagreb and beyond!

We are very excited that classes will be held live for the academic year 2021/2022 and wish everyone a successful start to their studies at FER!
