Professor Mislav Grgić, PhD, has been elected as Member of Academia Europaea, thus becoming the twelfth Croatian scientist accepted in the Academy.

Academia Europaea was established in 1988 with headquarters based in London. Its activities are oriented towards promoting excellence in all scientific areas. The goal of the Academia Europaea is to promote research in Europe, make recommendations to national governments and international agencies concerning matters related to science and the encouragement of interdisciplinary and international research in all areas of learning, particularly in relation to European issues. There are currently more than 70 Nobel Prize winners active in the European Academy.

The ceremony for the new members will be held on 23 October 2019 in Barcelona.
