Public call for applications

University of Zagreb Faculty of electrical engineering and computing hereby announces a public call for applications for appointment to the following position:

1. Project Associate – Researcher at the Department of Communication and Space Technologies to work on the project “Scalable System of Cameras and Optical Filters for Application in Industry - SKORPI (NPOO.C3.2.R3-I1.04.0033) funded within the framework of the open call for project proposals for the award of grants for Targeted Scientific Research (NPOO.C3.2.R3-I1.04)” – one fixed-term position until March 31, 2026 with half of full-time work, and from April 1, 2026 until December 31, 2026 full-time work.

Requirements:

- completed university graduate study or university integrated undergraduate and graduate study, field of electrical engineering or computer science,

- knowledge of image or spectrum analysis, experience with laboratory measurements in electronics and optics.

Job description and tasks:

- defining and managing the technical implementation of the project for the identification of substances in food and agricultural products and types of light sources in public lighting;

- designing, manufacturing and testing prototype systems for the identification of substances and light sources and measuring them in laboratory conditions;

- participating in scientific work with a high degree of independence in conducting research;

- performing other tasks within the scope of their work as determined by the dean, head of department and project manager.
