Course Description

Course completes previously acquired transformer knowledge with advanced theory applied to power, special and instrument transformers. The following topics of advanced transformer theory will be treated: inrush current, overexcitation, transformer equivalent circuits, transformer short circuit withstand capability, zero-sequence impedance, autotransformers, converter transformers, furnace transformers and reactors; and special topics of instrument transformers.
