Course Description

Main components of wireless communications systems in the operational conditions. Modeling and modeling errors of complex signals, noise and interference in time and frequency domain. Decision theory. Principles of SNR maximization. Analysis of Shannon-Hartley theorem of system capacity. Concepts of reduction of Bit Error Rate. Taxonomy of channel coding methods. Coding with Forward Error Correction. Calculation of BER, PER and SER. Optimization of wireless systems.
