Course Description
Modeling of distributed systems. Distributed and decentralized algorithms. Scalability analysis. Selected distributed algorithms: leader election, consensus. Publish/subscribe systems: architecture, message routing, matching algorithms, mobility issues. Peer-to-peer networks: algorithm overview and comparison. Case studies: decentralized full-text search engine, Content Delivery Network (CDN), Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT).
