Course Description

Models for distributed Big Data batch processing and processing of data streams in real-time. Selected distributed Big Data processing algorithms: MapReduce programming model, dataflow programming, and distributed Big Data processing using CPUs and GPUs. Distributed network analysis. Distributed machine learning. Big Data replication and partitioning. Selected case studies: geospatial Big Data processing, real-time crowdsensing, and recommendation systems.
