Course Description
Security incidents that occur every day in a significant number of cases are the result of vulnerabilities in systems and software support. In practice, a significant number of methods and techniques are already used, the task of which is to discover as many vulnerabilities as possible during the software develop life cycle. However, despite these methods, software support is very complex and vulnerabilities are still present in a significant number. The purpose of the course is to acquaint students with the challenges in the development of secure software and the research directions that try to solve the aforementioned challenges. The first goal of the course is to provide students with an overview of various methods of preventing and detecting vulnerabilities in software throughout the entire life cycle. After that, through the analysis of scientific papers and discussions, students will be acquainted with different research approaches to solving security issues in software.
