Security of computer networks

Course Description

Information systems are the basis of modern business. The basic infrastructure on which they are implemented are, among other things, computer networks and the Internet. This is why it is extremely important for students to familiarize themselves with security problems of today's computer networks and the ways in which these problems are solved or mitigated. As part of the course, the different layers of the computer network will be covered, and the problems and their solutions will be pointed out in each layer. Special emphasis will be placed on the TCP/IP family of protocols. Prerequisites for this course include basic knowledge of computer networks and operating systems, knowledge of programming and basic mathematical knowledge, including basic knowledge of cryptographic algorithms.
