Course Description
The course is intended for the acquisition of basic knowledge in the field of quantum mechanics. The specific selection of the chapters to be covered is adjusted, after the initial interview with the participants, to the level of their prior knowledge in the subject and the area of their interest or topic of their doctoral research. The quantum mechanics chapters that come into play include the basic formalism of quantum mechanics and the applications of quantum mechanics in solid state physics, quantum optics, and the theory of quantum information and algorithms.
