Vertical and horizontal communication network architectures. Concepts and standards in open network architectures. Network architecture layers: access, transport, control, application and service. Next Generation Network architecture. Core network evolution. Softwarized networks, access and core functionality, middleware roles. Software defined networking. Network Function Virtualization. Telecommunication systems diversity and creation of framework for unified application. Transformation from architecture to implementation. Technology and business criteria for network architecture analysis.
