Course Description

Overview of navigation systems. GPS, GLONASS, Galileo. Fundamentals of satellite positioning. Architecture of global satellite navigation systems (GNSS). GPS positioning services, performances and limitations. GPS signals reception and processing. Architecture of GPS receiver. Positioning errors. Augmentation of GNSS systems, DGPS, EGNOS. Integration of satellite and other navigation systems. Integration of navigation and communication systems. Expected future development and modernisation.
