Course Description

Mathematical modeling of marine systems: kinematics, kinetics, hydrostatics, models for dynamic positioning and maneuvering, simulation models. Guidance, navigation and control of autonomous marine systems: modern systems and advanced systems based on nonlinear control. Sensor fusion and integration of navigation systems. Human-robot interaction in the underwater environment. Virtual reality in underwater and surface marine environments. Control of heterogeneous maritime robotic systems. Cooperative and coordinated management. Acoustic communications and challenges. Acoustic channel identification. Advanced methods of acoustic signal processing. Sonar image processing.
