Course Description
Symbolic and numeric methods of discovering structural patterns in data sets. Symbolic knowledge discovery: concepts, examples and attributes. Preparing the input data sets. Output knowledge representation. Knowledge discovery algorithms. Evaluation of results. Fundamentals of statistical data handling and graphical representation. Prediction, grouping and classification using multivariate techniques. Application in business, engineering, and medicine domain.
