Course Description

Subject gives overview of basic types of electrical locomotives, as well as existing electrical locomotives and electrical trains in Croatian railways system. It gives an overview on modern locomotives such as asynchronous, multisystem, etc. Electrical subsystems in electrical locomotives and electrical trains are described. Basic characteristics of electrical locomotives and electrical trains are given. Electric traction elements are analyzed and electric drives basics are presented.
