Course Description

Basic principles and importance of electromagnetic compatibility. Capacitive and inductive coupling of cables. Shielding and termination of cables. Directives for printed circuit bord design and grounding principles. Characteristics of real passive components and transmission lines. Common-mode and differential-mode noise filtering. Directives for design of electronic circuits. Shielding of electronic circuits. Conducted and radiated emissions. Electrostatic discharge. Measurement methods and apparatus for electromagnetic compatibility testing.
