For the 1st laboratory exercise, you have to solve Jupyter notebook 1, which you can find on the Files/Laboratory/Laboratory exercises subpage. You have to write the code at specific locations inside the notebook and answer each question written in the notebook. The exercise should be submitted via the Moodle platform by Friday, March 29th 2024, 23:59h.

The notebook was prepared using the Google Colaboratory platform. You can use Colab to solve the exercise too, but also you can solve the exercise locally on your laptop using tools such as Anaconda or Visual Studio Code. Before you start solving the exercise, you should download the Images folder from the subpage Files/Laboratory. If you will be solving the exercise using Colab, the downloaded folder needs to be uploaded into your Google Drive.

The submission is performed by submitting one Jupyter notebook (.ipynb, not .zip), whose title should follow the template: DIPA_LAB_1_NAME_SURNAME.ipynb. Additionally, the output of each cell needs to be visible - Do not clear/delete the outputs! The file size is limited to 20MB, which should be more than enough for a completely solved exercise. However, if you will have problems with the file size, you can decrease the image resolution of some of the result images (output of a cell in the form of an image) in sections 1.X. and 2.1. (do not do this from section 2.2. onwards).

Submission after the deadline and non-compliance with the submission rules will result in 0 points for the exercise.

You do not have to come to 'defend' your exercise in the laboratory timeslots assigned to you in your calendar. The teaching assistants will check and grade your notebooks based on its content. If you have any questions regarding the tasks in this exercise, you can come to the consultation on Wednesday, March 27th, 2024, 10:00h in room D-138.
